Training the mindset

Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with TU Berlin, NTNU (Trondheim) and Warsaw UoT organizes a series of 1-week training sessions to enchance your soft and transferable skills, and to enhance your international network.

Each training session includes two modules. Participating candidates will earn 5 PhD School credits (in the "Complementary Doctoral Skills" course) after successful completion of the assessing procedure (that may include an online evaluation some weeks after the training).

The first training session will be held at TU Berlin on 13-17 January 2020, and includes the following two courses:
- Brilliant project idea successful proposal? Writing compelling project proposals
- Innovative Teaching Methods

At each training session (four will be announced during 2020) four PhD candidates from Politecnico di Milano will be selected to participate in the course. The selected participants will receive:
- a fee waiver of the registration cost for the courses
- a reimbursement of the travel expenses of up to 275 EUR per participant
- a contribution for the living and housing expenses at Berlin of up to 58 EUR per participant and per day (total of 5 days).
Every travel grant is therefore up to 565 EUR.

To participate to this selection candidates must fill in and submit the form at the link, with deadline Sunday, December 1st 2019. The candidates will be selected in order to foster the construction of the more diverse possible class.

All applicants will be informed of the selection outcome by Wednesday, December 4th 2019, in order to allow them to modify (if they want to) their selection of PhD School courses for year 2020.
