The Trans-European Mobility Project On Education for Sustainable Development – TEMPO – aims at achieving the objectives set by of the Erasmus Mundus Program for mobility, and to combine these objectives with a transdisciplinary approach and the principles of Sustainable Development. It intends to be an investment in diverse, modernized and interconnected higher education/research that will provide future leaders with better skills and competences to respond to the needs of today’s unsustainable world. Therefore, the objective of the TEMPO Project is to promote a Trans-European exchange of knowledge, experience and management in Higher Education Institutions for the establishment of cooperation ties of HEIs between the European Union and Third counties.

INDIA (only incoming mobility)

The main objective of the project is to implement sustainable structures and relationships between Europe and India, by contributing to the improvement of innovation, education and research capabilities among Indian HEIs. 

The programme concentrates on:

  • Strengthening the existing network of co-operations among Indian and European HEIs;
  • Expanding the Indian HEIs’ experience in student and staff exchanges, good practices regarding academic harmonisation, mutual recognition with European HEIs, organisation and management of mobility in accordance with the Bologna Process / Credit transfer.

India has been undergoing a wide diversification process of its economy requesting a highly qualified workforce in scientific fields. The development of engineering is now one of the priorities of India. 

The HERITAGE programme will focus on improving access to high-level education to a large number of young female and male Indian professionals to experience the benefits of studying in Europe and being introduced to other methods.
